Your privacy is important to us. It is Parrot Software Inc's policy to respect your privacy and comply with any applicable law and regulation regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website, theparrotcrm.com, and other sites we own and operate.

Personal information is any information about you that can be used to identify you. This includes information about you as a person (such as name, address, and date of birth), your devices, payment details, and even information about how you use a website or online service.

In the event that our site contains links to third-party sites and services, please be aware that those sites and services have their own privacy policies. After following a link to any third-party content, you should read their applicable privacy policy.

Information We Collect

The information we collect falls into two categories: "voluntarily provided information" and "automatically collected information."

"Voluntarily provided information" refers to any information you knowingly and actively provide us when using or participating in any of our services and promotions.

Log Data

When you visit our website, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser. This may include your device's IP address, your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, the time spent on each page, and other details about your visit.

Additionally, if you encounter certain errors while using the site, we may automatically collect data about the error and the circumstances surrounding it. Google User Data

When you connect your Google Calendar or Google Account to Parrot CRM (including through Nylas), our application may collect and process certain Google user data. We collect, or process on behalf of our customers, the following categories of personal data from your Google Account when you use or interact with our calendar integration:

  • Your Google Account email address (to identify and authenticate your calendar connection).
  • Calendar metadata, settings, and timezones.
  • Calendar events (including titles, descriptions, times, invitees, and status) to display, create, or update them in your CRM.

How We Use Google User Data

We will use your Google user data solely to provide or improve the user-facing features of Parrot CRM, such as enabling two-way calendar synchronization, displaying calendar events in your CRM dashboard, and allowing you to create or update meetings directly from the CRM. All other uses of Google user data are strictly prohibited. Specifically, we do not use, and will never use, your Google user data for:

  • Targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
  • Selling to data brokers or providing to information resellers.
  • Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
  • Training artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning models.

Sharing and Disclosure of Google User Data

We do not transfer, share, or disclose your Google user data to third parties for reasons other than providing or improving our application’s user-facing functionality. We may share your Google user data only with our trusted service partners (such as Nylas, our calendar integration service provider) who help us operate and provide our services. All such third parties are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.

We do not allow, and strictly prohibit, the transfer or sharing of Google user data to third parties for any of the following reasons:

  • Targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
  • Selling to data brokers or providing to information resellers.
  • Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Lawful Bases for Processing Your Personal Information

We only collect and use your personal information when we have a legitimate reason to do so. In that case, we only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you.

Collection and Use of Information

We may collect personal information from you when you do any of the following on our website:

  • Use a mobile device or web browser to access our content
  • Contact us via email, social media, or any similar technology
  • When you mention us on social media

Security of Your Personal Information

Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data, including Google user data. When we collect and process personal information, and while we retain this information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. We use industry-standard encryption protocols (both in transit and at rest) to protect your information and ensure that your sensitive credentials and tokens remain secure.

Although we will do our best to protect the personal information you provide to us, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

How Long We Retain Your Personal Information

We will retain your personal information (including Google user data) for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it.

You may request for your data (including Google user data) to be deleted at any time by contacting us at hola@parrot.software.

Children's Privacy

We do not aim any of our products or services directly at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under 13.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

We may disclose personal information to:

  • a parent, subsidiary, or affiliate of our company
  • third-party service providers (IT, storage, hosting, etc.)
  • our employees, contractors, and/or related entities
  • regulatory authorities, as required by law

Third parties we currently utilize include:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Storage: Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, Grafana
  • Artificial Intelligence: Cloudflare AI Gateway (exclusively routing to OpenAI and Google Gemini API)
  • Analytics: PostHog
  • Email & Communications: Postmark, Meta
  • Calendar Integration: Nylas
  • Payment Processing: Stripe, Chargebee

International Transfers of Personal Information

Personal information we collect is stored and/or processed in the United States, or where we or our partners, affiliates, and third-party providers maintain facilities.

Your Rights and Controlling Your Personal Information

You have the right to choose whether to provide personal information to us, access it, correct it, and request its deletion.
